Holiday Coast Heavy Vehicle Driver Training is locally owned and operated by David and Anne Clark.
David started work as a Jackaroo in West Wyalong and joined the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) in 1965, becoming a transport fitter mechanic. During this time, David was involved in heavy transport and married his lovely wife Anne, who is a partner in HCHVDT.
David and Anne have four adult children and nine grandchildren, and their son Greg is now working in the family business. After leaving the RAAF, David spent time as a mechanic, where he began his involvement with long distance truck driving.
David has over 30 years in the transport industry, driving in all states, and experience working with most types of freight and vehicles, even a road train! David also has extensive experience with earthmoving, concrete plant, and asphalt plant, in addition to having previously run a successful landscaping business.
In 1996, David completed his accreditation with the RTA (NSW) and created Holiday Coast Heavy Vehicle Driver Training.
The business has grown over the years, developing a proven reputation as a provider of quality training. Our company now employs five full time staff and several contractors. With exciting times ahead, David, Anne, and the rest of the team look forward to expanding the business and supporting our learners as they strive for success.
